Summer Tournament Hockey

Summer Hockey can be a hit or miss, depending on who is interested. Once a coach has been identified, then a goalie will try to be secured. If both of those things fall into place, a notification will go out with the tournament and team information to players that would be a good fit. If this is something your player would like to participate in, then they will express interest in joining the team.

That is NOT to say that is the only way a team can be built. If multiple families come and express interest going to a tournament, but they don't have enough players, we can put it out there to see if anyone else is interested in joining. The goal is to keep kids playing hockey!

How it's going to work:

• All players interested in playing Summer Hockey should come to Spring tryouts.
• All players will be evaluated by coaches.
• For each tournament, players can register that they want to play and depending on who/how many sign up will determine teams, based on the evaluations.
• Example: if the top 15 kids want to play in Week 1's tournament, that would be the AAA Team. The next 15 kids that want to play would be the AA Team, and so forth. If we have enough to send multiple AA teams, then we will!!!
• Example 2: if only 15 of the top 45 kids on the evaluations want to play, they will be a team but coach will need to decide at what level; AA or A.
• If a coach has their core team put together, but needs a player or few, they can consult the evaluations and extend an invite.

What if tryouts are missed? Will my skater be excluded from the Chilis for the season?
